so my daughter ask my to stop at a stor on my way home from work to get her some personal items and I did I stoped at a local family dollar store and I went in and got what I needed then proceded to the check out witch is pretty small area I let her ring up the item then this lady  proceded to put her items right in front of me when I was checking out. this was way more than rude!!!!! i feel it was racist it happens all of the time she just cut right in front of me like I was not even there how would you feel if this was you????

Well I don;t know if it's really racism but yeah it was definately rude. I'd be like excuse me I was here first and you are rude.

I am trying to understand. You had one item and it was already rung up? I am not sure what the problem is. Maybe you could have said, thanks, I see you want to pay for my item.

That was incredibly rude......seems like that's getting to be the "norm" these days......I would have said something like, "excuse me, but the cashier has started ringing my purchases up, I believe I was here before you.
So sorry you had to deal with such rudeness.

I have to ask how it was racist, rude I give it because that is not what you do when you are in line behind someone. I once was in line with my 5 kids and had only a few items and the cashier had the nerve to let a older man in front of us with a loaded cart, she didn't ask me, and when it was time for me to check out I told her as soon as she was done I was going to be going to the manager. She wasn't there after that. I am thinking she got fired.

I have let people in front of me before when they only had a few items but never a whole cart when I have the kids with me. My kids are pretty good in the store but lets not push it.

eileen ~ I agree with Pamela about the rudeness of the incident. Why does this happen to you all of the time? Do let us know how you feel that the incident was racist. Did the person say anything to you?

I agree that this was rude. I don't know if it's racist, but I assume she is a different race than you. I have let people go ahead of me, too, if I have a lot and they have one item, but I would be annoyed if someone cut in.

I know that when my dad goes to his favorite restaurant, the hosts will seat him ahead of others, but he is usually alone, is 88 years old and uses a cane. He would never ask or expect to go ahead of others, but they wave him through and greet him kindly. Maybe it's not fair, but I appreciate it on his behalf.

I would have said pretty loudly to wait her turn as i tossed her stuff down the conveyer belt.
As mentioned above, i don't know why you thought it was racial. Sorry you went through that.
