Yesterday afternoon my brother dropped off my nephews Chris and Niko for a sleepover. It was fun. :) We haven't had them over like that since before Christmas sometime.
My nephew Niko brought over some Cars II themed puzzles (there were a set of 3 in on box) that we worked on before dinner, which was pancakes. My nephew Chris, who is not much for sit down things when there are other things to do, was in the kitchen helping Mom. When Niko and I got in the kitchen, he was actually helping Mom pour the pancakes (very carefully).
After dinner we watched a Christmas special, Prep & Landing, and then watched Ratatoullie, both of which Mom had DVRed. I thought Ratatoullie was good. :)
As usual, Chris fell asleep during the longer movie. ;) After Ratatoullie Mom and I let Niko stay up a bit longer and then we put the boys to bed.
This morning the boys and Bear woke me up, and we had breakfast together.
After breakfast they went with me for Bear's morning walk. When we got home, Mom got out the "art project" she bought for them to do- a couple of "Blanks"--these little plastic guys that kids can draw on with markers and put stickers on and stuff. ;) The arms and head move a bit, so they could pose them if they wanted.
After that Chris pulled out an album chronicling a family trip we went on back in '81. I think Chris got a bang out of seeing his Auntie and daddy as kids.
Niko and I played a game of dominoes and were 3/4 of a way through an Angry Birds Card game when my brother came to get them. It took about 15 minutes for them to round up their stuff and go, though after they left I found that they had left their toothbrushes and toothpast in the bathroom. ;P Uh-oh.
While my brother was here he informed us that the plan now is that we'll get to watch my nephew Frankie two days a week starting next month some time. We don't have a baby carseat for him, so Mom will have to run errands while I stay home with Frankie some days, but I don't mind. We'll do some auntie/nephew bonding. ;)
(I took some pictures while the Chris and Niko were here of course, so I'm afraid you'll get bombarded with some of this again when I get my internet back).
How has your holiday weekend gone so far?

Hey, you must have cashed out here recently! What did you cash out for, if I can ask?
Sounds like you've had a really busy day as well. I'm really proud of myself for getting so much accomplished....still haven't watched "Frankenweenie," yet, though!
Extra shelves are always nice to have, and now that I read your comment, I realize that I probably need to clean my bathroom again, too ! ;P
Have you seen the movie "UP" ?
